Halim started his career as a Mergers and Acquisitions analyst at Deloitte, serving strategic and financial buyers. Through the Stanford Law Levin Center he will complete an internship at Danantara, the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund, where he will be focused on late stage investments.
The idea for Stanford Law's Demo Day came from all the times Halim spent individually informing founders of all the resources the Law School could provide and his desire to make that more accessible. As Co-President of the Startup Law Club, his goal is for a founder's first intuition to be the company they want to start and second, to stop by Stanford Law for world-class legal support.
Outside of work, Halim enjoys soft serve ice cream from Stern Dining.
Nico started his career as an analyst at Chapman and Cutler, a transactional law firm serving large financial institutions. This summer he is a summer associate at Goodwin Procter, focusing on startups and venture capital. For the second half of the summer, he will work in-house at SignalFire, a venture capital firm.
The idea for Stanford Law's Demo Day came from trying to connect the law school's silo to the thriving startup ecosystem all over campus. As Co-President of the Startup Law Club, Nico's goal is to continue building awareness and interest in entrepreneurship and the law, and make the law school a premier destination for the world-class entrepreneurs on Stanford's campus.
Outside of work, Nico enjoys playing any sport with friends on campus.
Ben has built his career tackling some of the energy sector's most complex challenges across multiple continents. Before joining Stanford Graduate School of Business, he worked at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising clients on energy projects in Budapest, Berlin, Vancouver, and Dubai. His experience spans power systems, utilities, and the broader energy transition, and today he is passionate about unlocking power demand flexibility to help build a more resilient and decarbonized electric grid.
As Co-President of the Stanford GSB Energy Club, Ben is focused on bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, utilities, policymakers, and technologists to accelerate the future of energy. He is excited to partner with the Stanford Law Startup Club to highlight how legal innovation and thoughtful regulation can help scale the next generation of energy infrastructure and climate technologies.
Outside of work, Ben is an avid skier and is always planning his next trip to the mountains.
Seyed (Mehrzad) Sajjadi is a former NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory engineer, entrepreneur, and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree whose career has spanned aerospace, artificial intelligence, and advanced robotics. Before joining Stanford Graduate School of Business, he founded nFlux AI as a NASA spin-out, contributed to NASA's Europa Clipper mission, and later led product at Invisible AI, building technologies now deployed everywhere from deep space missions to manufacturing plants around the world.
As Co-President of the Stanford GSB Healthcare Club, Mehrzad is focused on bringing together founders, investors, clinicians, researchers, and operators advancing the future of healthcare. He believes many of healthcare's biggest challenges will be solved through interdisciplinary collaboration, and is excited to partner with the Stanford Law Startup Club to connect entrepreneurs with the legal, technical, and commercial resources needed to build enduring companies.
Outside of work, Mehrzad enjoys exploring coffee shops around the Bay Area in search of the perfect cup.
José Luis has built his career at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. Before joining Stanford Graduate School of Business, he led blockchain initiatives at KPMG and worked at Bitso, Latin America's leading cryptocurrency exchange, where he gained firsthand experience building financial infrastructure for the digital economy. His work has focused on how emerging technologies are transforming payments, capital markets, and financial services.
As Co-President of the Stanford GSB FinTech Club, José is passionate about exploring what the next generation of financial infrastructure should look like, from tokenized assets and programmable money to the future of global payments. He is excited to partner with the Stanford Law Startup Club to bring together founders, investors, and legal experts navigating the evolving regulatory landscape shaping the future of finance.
Outside of work, José enjoys exploring California's hiking trails and is always looking for his next weekend adventure.
Vanessa is currently a sophomore at Stanford studying Economics and Management Science & Engineering. This summer she is interning at Tata Electronics in an Operations, Sales & Strategy role, and her background spans go-to-market and growth work across early-stage startups, including XTrace, an AI memory infrastructure company backed by Draper Associates and Stanford.
As Co-President of ASES, Stanford's oldest and largest entrepreneurship organization, Vanessa leads a community that connects students, founders, and operators across campus and around the world. The club is always growing and welcoming new verticals into the fold, which is exactly why collaborating with the Stanford Law Startup Club excites her: law is one of the most underrated pieces of building a company, and bringing that world into the ASES ecosystem means founders on campus get a fuller picture of what it actually takes to go from idea to company.
Outside of work, Vanessa loves traveling, exploring new restaurants (she's really into Beli), and fashion.
Avishi is a senior at the University of Maryland studying Computer Science. This summer she is working at Uber on the Mobile and Edge Networking team. She also founded DefenX, an AI-powered weapon detection system for school shootings that has received $250K in pre-seed funding, and works as a founding engineer at SheRecs, a digital platform and social networking community designed to help women and their families source and share trusted service providers.
Avishi was Halim's first call when setting up the project: from ideation to execution to outreach. While not a Stanford student, she has been a crucial partner to the team and to the Demo Day's success, drawn in by her love of the startup space.
Outside of work, Avishi loves to read, go to concerts, and paint.
